The Endless Opportunities for a New York Meal

Are you ever in the mood to just get out of your comfort zone and try something you have never tried before?

As I said in my post “5 Reasons Why You Should Start Brunching,” going out for a meal is a great way to find new places and explore the city.

One of my favorite things to do is just walk around and experience new neighborhoods. Yesterday I wandered from the financial district to chinatown, and found some amazing dumplings for $4, and then sat in a park by the water while I enjoyed my new find.

Going to out for a meal around breakfast or lunch time does not always need to be a big and frivolous affair.

Have you ever heard of the rainbow bagel? If you take the 2 3 train from Wall Street and ride for 22 minutes, hop off at Bergen Street, and in less than five minutes from the subway station, there is the infamous Bagel Shop, known for its infamous rainbow bagel.

My friend Reilly and I made this trip to The Bagel Store- Original Rainbow Bagel as we were on the hunt for a breakfast kind of item, and were happily surprised from what we found. Aside from the bagel being so pretty, it was also delicious.

Whether you are looking for a quick bite or to sit and stay a while, you can almost never go wrong with trying someplace new and exploring someplace you hadn’t been before.

I have honestly never been disappointed after trying something new, and in the city of New York, it’s hard to come across something that tastes “bad.”

So, being that you are reading a blog about eating in New York, I highly encourage you to go and try it for yourself. You might love it or you might hate it, but there’s no hurt in trying at least once.

Go find a new neighborhood, park, or street to fall in love with, and some yummy food while you’re at it.
